Partnership Working
DHA has established strong partnerships with local agencies across the public and voluntary sectors. Working together in this way has helped to raise awareness of available advice, create integrated approaches to resolving financial problems and join our resources together to prevent people from becoming homeless in the first place.
Some of our successful partnerships include:
-
Local Authorities: Our debt advice team is based within local town halls and council offices, leading to improved service delivery and enabling consultancy on complex legal issues
-
Credit Unions and Midlands Finance: We have established mutual referral systems to ensure people recieve timely specialist debt advice and can access affordable credit and money advice services
-
Local Housing Providers: We have developed effective referral mechanisms to proactively tackle housing benefit and debt issues before a clients' tenancy is brought to an end
-
Banks and Building Societies: DHA work with local banks and building societies to ensure clients in arrears are sent information on DHA's advice services, giving them the best opportunity to address and resolve their issues
