Volunteer, Training & Advice Centre in Ilkeston

The Volunteer, Training & Advice Centre is a multi-purpose facility providing advice and opportunities for the whole community. 

Training

 Our training courses have been designed to develop essential skills and open up opportunities for employment.  The modern, relaxed setting, flexible approach and experienced tutors make the Ilkeston Centre an ideal place for learning and personal improvement. 

There is a whole range of opportunities on offer, from fun taster days to intensive literacy and numeracy courses.  As an accredited UK Online Centre, people can make use of the computer and internet training suite for free.

Volunteering

Volunteers will be at the heart of the Volunteer, Training & Advice Centre.  There are opportunities to support all aspects of the service - a great way to gain experience, meet new people and develop skills. 

We will also have volunteering links with other organisations in Ilkeston, so there is bound to be something for everyone.

Our experienced advisors provide advice, advocacy and representation on housing, debt and welfare benefits matters.  This high quality, specialist service is delivered in a friendly, confidential setting and is completely free of charge.
