Staff Training and Development
DHA has a comprehensive training and development programme for all staff, including an induction programme that covers a number of areas of professional skills training, such as Professional Boundaries, Equality and Diversity and Protecting Vulnerable Adults.
Legal advice staff are trained to a consistent, Specialist Quality Marked standard through Derbyshire Housing Aid's nationally accredited training courses, which have been developed to ensure clients receive a reliable, high quality advice service which effectively resolves some highly complex legal problems. Customer Service Clerks and Legal Administrators also attend training sessions on ‘Identifying Emergencies’ which helps streamline advice services so that those in the most urgent need are offered help and support as quickly as possible.
